Overview of ASSET Scholars Program
The ASSET Scholars Program was designed to enhance your
academic success at CSUCI. Through informal meetings with
professors, one-on-one peer mentoring, academic student success
workshops, and special events, you will be supported during your
time at CSUCI.
Funding for this project is provided by a US Department of Education Title III & V Grant
The ASSET Scholars Program
Aims to Provide You With:
- Professor who will provide you
with support and academic
and professional opportunities
focused on your needs - Peer Mentor who will help you
navigate university culture - Access to resources designed to
help you strengthen your study
skills and growth - Community of students just like
you to grow your CSUCI family
Success Package Includes:
- Workshops from Faculty
Mentors - Weekly mentoring sessions with
an assigned Professor - 1:1 Support from your Peer
Mentor - Informal Scholar Connection
Sessions designed to build your
community and networks - Special events
Your role as an ASSET Scholar:
- Attend weekly sessions with your assigned Professor
- Attend a minimum of 1 Workshops from Faculty Mentors
- Attend a minimum of 1 sessions with your Peer Mentor
- Attend ASSET Scholar Kick-off and End-of-Year Celebration
